I’m on TV!

Last week I flew to DC to sit down with Raymond Arroyo on his show The World Over. I met Raymond at the LA Times Festival of Books last spring, and he’s a great guy who asks good questions … a few of which caught me off guard! Check it out!

    Great interview, Jonathan!
I remember when your Mom took you out of school and I’m glad she did. And I’m happy to heed the advice you gave in Sophie Quire to those lucky enough to meet an author: Your books are awesome!

Good Morning, I am was so impressed with your interview. As a mom that educates children primarily at home I was so encouraged by your mother’s reason and wisdom. I educate for quite the same reasons. It isn’t so much about the teaching of grammar, although at 8 and 10 my I use an awesome curriculum written by someone that is much like yourself, and they can already diagram sentences. It’s is because I want them to love and be passionate about what truly matters in life, others. The only way I know to do this is to keep them close enough to know them well, and to do everything that I know to do to encourage them to read. Primarily it was that there was nothing else that seemed more fun; i.e. video games, t.v., or cell phone. Thank you for doing the interview, it is one of my favorites.

  • Thanks, Ginger! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
